Gramma stinkbot's ol' timey Peanut Butter.

Combine the following ingredients in a food processor
    2 cups roasted, un-salted peanuts
    1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon honey...or sugar if you prefer
1 1/2 tablespoon peanut oil (I go half-sies with walnut oil)
hit the go button and let her rip for two minutes.
shut down the machine and scrape down the sides with your spatula or rubber scraper
hit GO again until you get your desired consistency.
for crunchier peanut butter (as I prefer it) throw in another half cup of peanuts and give it another run for one to two minutes.
I do this in several batches and fill many jars.
WARNING: this shit is addictive as crack.
WAY better than the store bought stuff.

The old lady and her roommate are making homemade pot pie!

stinkbot i don't think that peanut butter counts as 100% homemade until you grow the peanuts yourself.

    Gourmet macaroni and cheese.
Make cheap macaroni and cheese, kraft or an off brand.
Fry some mushrooms and hot dog bits at the same time.
When the macaroni is soft, add some frozen peas to the water, and let cook for a minute or two.
Add everything, drain, add the neon orange cheese powder, a nice chunk of butter, milk if you have any, mix it together, and enjoy!
Good for when you are incredibly drunk.

Here's the soba noodle salad I made for our vegan potluck the other night:

Two types of soba noodles, sea veggies, smoked tofu, chilis, edamame, black sesame, and a whole lotta other awesome shit!

That dhal sounds great, may have to give it a go. On a side note, I almost bout a shirt from Neil Robinson that said Old punks never die...they just stand at the back. Great artwork on it.

    Hoppin Johns

    2 Cups Brown Rice
3 Cups Black Eyed Peas (canned or frozen, not sure about fresh)
    4 Cups Veggie Stock
    1 Red Bell Pepper
    1 Onion
    1 Jalapeno
    3 Cloves Garlic
    1 Bay Leaf
    Salt and Pepper
    Cayenne Pepper

Chop your veggies. Cook onions till translucent. Add Jalapeno and Bell Pepper, cook until soft. Add garlic, salt, pepper, cayenne, let the flavor soak into the mix but don't burn the garlic. Add stock. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice and black eyed peas. Bring back to boil, then cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Feeds 3 to 4 punks. Goes best with cornbread and collard greens.

    A TRUE SOUTHERN PUNK RECIPE!
