    no,no rude at all
yes, there are middle class people who were in a middle average situation (not so wealth,no so poor)and trapped in a loan from a bank (there are thousands of them)and there were people who were in bad financial situation before the crisis come, when crisis came and all these lost their jobs, for the first things got worse and the later lost even their homes (there is a wave of new homeless people, just try to figure it:Greek Church feeds 300.000 people everyday).of course there are cheap internet connections too but who cares about internet when his life is only desperation and melancholy?

So he had election about a week ago, the two "big" parties went down from the 75-85% of votes to 32% and the same time the socialdemocratic party of SYRIZA arose to 17% and won the second place, the bad news come from the 440.000 idiots who voted the neo nazis and sent 21 wankers to the parliament.Negotiations for a coalition of parties to make a government and continue the disastrous austerity policy came to a deadend because of SYRIZA's refusal to participate.
The situation is shitty, nazis have increased their attacks against immigrants,an orchestrated campaign against SYRIZA has started by media since this is the main danger to the IMF-ECB-EU driven policy (communists were stuck in their usual 8% and seem to stay out of the game),rumors about stop providing liquidity to some Greek banks by ECB pop up every day just to scare people who vote left parties (here is an example),many people withdraw their money from banks. We are going to have new elections in June 17 and its a long long time and alot of shit can happen.New polls give first place to Syriza till now.i don't know if Alex Tsipras the leader of SYRIZA is going to be the European Nestor Kirschner but today he seems to be the only spark of light in here (shit,i never expected to say a thing like this....)

hi there! its been a long time since i visited the forum and much more since this thread was updated, i remembered it and felt the need to say a few things, many things happened during the last year now the title of this thread came true:
we are experiencing the process of a post modern coup d'etat here in my country, it started some months ago when SYRIZA won the election in last winter, started as a slow but lethal bank run, endless brainwashing by media and hostile confrontation by EU/IMF/ECB institutions, the negotiations on greek debt came to a deadend and we reached the final(?) chapter this week with closed banks and capital controls (since European Central Bank closed the tap of help), financial suffocation and a disgusting campaign of terror and distortion of reality by media feeding our inner fear. i said about post modern coup d'etat because this plan and terror of last week aims to the collapse of leftist government and to bring a bunch of puppets willing to continue the bloodsucking of poor, officials of EU have said it directly (and without shame) too.
Greece defaulted in June 30 but but this didn't make our life harder, next Sunday a referendum will take place (thats why the fear campaign), its the rich vs the poor, the wealthy vs those who suffered all these last five years. We shall overcome, we have nothing to lose but our misery, the scared and ignorant ones stand against us. And the scared never win.
