    Paris!

Going there in a few days with my son (11). We're gonna check out the tower, the Notre Damme and the catacombs. Any other hot-spots? Good record-stores? Veggie-places to eat? Hotel-recomendations perhaps?

    Thanx.

The Luvre and Montmartre were pretty cool, if you like art.

There's an infoshop called Le Kiosk : http://www.babooska.org/lekiosk/

And I agree with Mr Severed, Montmartre is a must see, as for the Louvre, I've never been inside but it must be nice indeed.

In fact you should try asking crustybeckam as he's from Paris...

Vampire Museum sounds cool, and yes you can call me if you need help , most french speaking people are not good in english (well, except the québecois), but thinking of it, it might be quite expensive for you, so I hope you'll find help on place....

And I don't know the exact dates of your stay, but here's a quite nice looking gig on Friday July 13th, which even your son might like (I mean, I don't know his taste, but it's quite diverse and melodic stuff, not raw d-beat or dark crust) :

    CENTRE INTERNATIONAL DE CULTURE POPULAIRE
    21 TER RUE VOLTAIRE
    75011 PARIS
    METRO: NATION / ALEXANDRE DUMAS
P.A.F. 5 ZEROS - PAS DE VERRE - NO DOG NO MASTER!

    VENDREDI 13 JUILLET - 20H

    HEYOKA
(anarcho punk rock survivors - Dijon)

    MEDEF INNA BABYLON
    (tooloose lo-fighters - Tolosa)

    THE BROKEN ARMS
(irish old school songs and music - Paris/Banlieue)

    LES PUNAISES à confirmer
    (girly pop punk - paris)

Not to go offtopic, but Heyoka is one of my favorite French bands, see them if you have time, @Rainbow did you hear their new record? It's very good!

Heyoka are great, I've seem them at their beginning, in '91 and then two times since their re-formation and they're really good live (although last time, they played to long in my opinion)... But I haven't heard their new record yet, I'll have to do that soon !
